From time to time we all come to the worrying realisation that we’ve fallen out of love with our music collection. Last week you had that album on repeat 24/7 but now you’re skipping through tracks at such a rate that you’re wearing a hole in the button!

Don’t fret! All you need is a bit of aural refreshment!

A crack team of radio workers, music journalists, and a biological scientist has been assembled to point you in the general direction of the music you’re missing out on. We’re all passionate musos and keen writers with our fingers on the pulse and an ear to the ground. We’re also part-time contortionists.

For years we’ve each been “That Music Nerd” in our respective circles of friends. You surely know one. They’re easy to spot; surgically attached to an iPod, often seen wearing band T-shirts, tend to choose to sit on an amp rather than a chair whenever the opportunity arises. Some of them even have the audacity to buy vinyl. In this day and age!!!

In this role we’ve dedicated ourselves to scouring the airwaves, social networking sites, and slightly shady back rooms of pubs to find the music that’s kicking up a fuss under the radar. It’s astonishing just how much great noise is flying about under the noses of the mainstream media and we’re determined to lift the lid on music’s best kept secrets.
