What is PLUGOLA:
To put it simply, PLUGOLA (www.plugo.la) is a free social network and digital music store in one, for independent musicians of all genres and music fans with all tastes. In essence, PLUGO.LA is your local record shop. A place where fresh, new music is presented, discovered and discussed. When they still existed, we used to spend hours in the record shop digging through the bins to find new music and discussing our finds with other regulars. Except for your local mega-store, most of those places are now extinct. So we set out to create the next generation of record shops; providing an interactive, social platform for digital music and video distribution, and promotion. Plugola adopted the latest web technology
to give both artists and music fans a fun, easy and effective way to discover, share, distribute
and download the best in up-and-coming independent music of all genres.
Musicians and fans can now interact and deal directly with eachother without influence from a middleman. With our unique software, we are putting the artists and music fans back in
control. Musicians have the ability, tools and FULL control
to; distribute their original music and videos digitally, set their own prices, manage their
own music affiliate program, keep fans and friends notified about upcoming
events in real time and easily create and maintain an online presence
in a user-friendly environment. Plugola's community-driven ranking system lets our members decide who the top artists are in each genre.
Let's face it. Without any fans, an artist's music is not going to be heard much. Besides discovering and legally downloading the very latest in independent
music, fans also have the option to help their favorite artist(s), while
earning compensation in the process. Plugola's unique “plugging”
feature allows fans to help promote and distribute their favorite musician,
both on and off the website, while earning a commission for each
download, of course; not to mention the ability to rate and comment on music
and videos of your choice. There is also a soon-to-be endless source of
new and exciting music, in all your favorite genres, that can be purchased
and downloaded with just one click of a button.
All surfers can browse, stream, socialize and register free of charge. Plugo.la
displays free streams/previews of all the MP3s and videos located within
our community. All media is linked to the artist's personal profile page
where you can learn more about the artist(s), find where they will be
performing next and discover even more of their content. Music fans also
receive their own free profile page and media player widget upon registration. All members have the ability to customize their personal profile pages with
our user-friendly, online tools; make new friends with similar tastes;
plug their favorite artists, post events and a bunch more cool features
with many more to come.
PLUGOLA is 100% legal. We retain no ownership rights over the content located
within the web site. The artists whose content is located on PLUGOLA's
servers has given us the non-exclusive rights to distribute their music
and videos only. Throughout the website tools are availavble for
members to help inform us of any content that has been illegally uploaded
that our team of moderators may have missed.
